Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.

We are deeply committed to prioritizing the leadership of those who bear the brunt of corporate abuse: women, people of color, low-income people, people in the Global South, and LGBTQ folks around the world, therefore potential candidates holding these identities are strongly encouraged to apply for our internship program.

Our internships are a unique opportunity for you to gain valuable corporate campaigning and nonprofit experience, cultivate your interests in social justice, strengthen your understanding of a fast-paced campaign organization, and gain critical skills and experience. In the recruitment and operations internship, you will intern alongside our dynamic, passionate recruitment team and learn skills such as networking and organizing and the day to day administration needed to be part of an operations and recruitment team. Interns will come away from the experience ready to take action and apply these skills to the social change issues they want to address in their local communities or schools.

As the recruitment and operations intern you will support our organizers in implementing an outreach program to create partnerships with local schools, universities, foundations, and community groups, with an eye towards race-equity. This intern position will also have the unique opportunity to refine new tools to support our staff and intern’s professional development at Corporate Accountability. You will also develop an implementation plan for benefits to strengthen our work environment that matches our organizational culture and campaign rigor. The recruitment and operations intern will help ensure that all new job and internship openings are published on websites and listservs to help us reach the best potential candidates. This intern will additionally learn database and design skills in order to support our recruitment outreach and social media.

Major responsibilities:

  • Represent the organization at virtual career fairs and events.

  • Keep and maintain a database of outreach contacts.

  • Support our structured interview system with interview preparation and transition to a new hiring database.

  • Refine a new tool for professional development, including proofreading, drafting supplementary materials, and giving feedback on trainings.

  • Dream up a refreshed way to host online celebrations for the Corporate Accountability team.

  • Support our HR team on special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to corporate accountability, racial equity, and social justice.

  • Excellent and effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and passion for executing the details of a project.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, or a willingness to learn.

  • Ability and willingness to adapt to changing conditions throughout internship due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and shifting campaign priorities.
